Description
The Agilent 8800 is the world’s first ICP Triple Quad (ICP-QQQ) and is available as a certified refurbished unit from IRIS Industries.
According to the IUPAC definition (term 538 from the 2013 Recommendations), “triple quadrupole” refers to a tandem mass spectrometer that consists of two quadrupole mass spectrometers in series, separated by a (non-selecting) RF-only quadrupole (or other multipole) that serves as a collision cell. In the 8800 ICP-QQQ, the two quadrupoles are separated by the ORS3 cell, which uses an octopole ion guide, similar to the 7900 and 7700 Series quadrupole ICP-MS (ICP-QMS) instruments.
